Financial Policy & INSURANCE
FINANCIAL POLICY
We are committed to providing superior care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment or copayment (the patient’s estimated portion) is due at the time service is rendered. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. A statement will be sent to you after insurance has made all payments to your account. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings.
For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash or check.
As a courtesy, for patients that have dental insurance, we will complete and submit your claim to your insurance carrier if applicable, at the time of your visit. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks by sending you an Explanation of Benefits. Please be aware that all professional services rendered are the patient’s responsibility regardless of your insurance coverage.
Insurance
At Karras Endodontics we make every effort to provide you with the finest endodontic care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this we work hand in hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. Please understand that insurances policies are a contract between the policyholder and the insurance company.
Our office accepts most insurance plans,
but we are in-network with the following insurance companies:
- Aetna DMO
- Cigna PPO
- DeCare Dental
- Delta Dental Premier
- Humana PPO
- Principal PPO
If you are out of your insurance network, please remember that there is a reason that your dentist has referred you to Dr. Louis Karras; an Endodontist Specialist; and that is because they want you to have to best endodontic care possible.
Even if your carrier states that it will cover 80% or even 100% of endodontic fees, several factors can reduce the actual benefit you receive. These factors include the following: deductibles, annual limits and maximum allowable amounts per procedure.
If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. They are well informed and up-to-date. They can be reached by phone at 847.677.3636. Please call if you have any questions or concerns regarding your initial visit.
